Actually, I'm just

 This guy's named

 Kehlog Albran.

I found a book in my grand-dad's attic that was written back in the '70s, The Profit, by someone called Kehlog Albran.  I'm pretty sure it's some kind of joke.  But as Ol' Idries Shah says, what's good for you is good for you, no matter where it comes from.  And I kind of like this following page:

A philosopher stepped forward:

Master, is not a stone a microcosm, like an olive pit?

Recondite, willing to give but little of itself?

Master, a stone may lie in a riverbed for an eon, giving nothing, observing all, wearing smooth, dwindling, slowly diminishing, until at last----- nothing.

But where is the stone of eons past?

In what context does it still exist?

Is it a stone still, Master, or is it part of us all?

The master replied:
