                                AWAKE
Walking on air

Drifting in space

Or held in Time in a nameless place…

That moment was not in Time –

The Milky Way was called to hold me still

As a Sense swirled thru me

Changing me forever, yearning for more…

I stood in anticipation

At the threshold of paradise

Beckoned by the Sense that dwelt within

In the quiet of my solitude

I knelt deep beside the empty chair

Where a touch upon my brow

Had awakened the slow motion of a giant wave

All day I walked in a daze

Talked in a daze

As Joy took over me

The quieter I was, the louder it spoke

I silently watched Its dance and hid a smile

Dear God, You don countless faces…

But this one speaks to me the most

A language I understand,

And gestures I know

Even in silence, It speaks aloud

With eyes of laughter

And heart of shining gold

Thy Presence is clear

And I am safe.
