Soren: There is then no special transmission of Truth carried by the few?
WE: There is a form of transmission, but it simply reveals what was always there, and unobserved. The Divinity is woven into each of us in manifold ways… we are shot through with infinities. We have within ourselves Absolute Reality, which may be experienced and known. Given that, what exotic flavor of Truth can one hope to acquire from another person, that could possibly matter?
Soren: How can one have access to that Absolute Reality?
WE: There are many ways, but that is perhaps a topic too large for this discussion. Suffice it to say that all people regularly participate in this Reality, and in doing so find it un-noteworthy… it is not so much that the level of participation that grows, although it does. It is rather that the participation in Reality which is unobserved that becomes observed, and the significance of that participation becomes more fully understood… But it’s about time, Luv. About to die of thirst, I was. Gor blimey! I seem to have walked out without my wallet… Soren, if you might pay this fine lady….. …. Yes, geld……. good lad. Cheers.
Soren: Yes, I’m sorry. Where were we?
WE: I dunno. I was hoping you were keeping track.
Soren: Why don’t we discuss the lataif for a while, since you get many inquiries about them. How are the lataif to be understood?
WE: The lataif, as I have said, are the outward dimensions of our inner persons. The lataif are something which operate within our bodies, and are also something which interpenetrates our bodies, and also that emerging reality which arises within our persons… Are they to evolve, they evolve at all levels of our being, simultaneously. They are not the goal of the spiritual life, but are indicators of a life more fully lived.
Soren: And what is the goal of the spiritual life?
WE: Why, God, of course…. … New to this, are you?
Soren: No, I’m sorry. Stupid question.
WE: You may always edit it out, later.
Soren: Thank you.
WE: But I need to be off, shortly. Intervening in world affairs, and all. Do you have any final questions that I might answer?
Soren: It ends? Final question. Hmmm. Final question. OK. How is it that we should live, so that we live, as it is best for us to live?
WE: We need to live the life that needs our assistance. The life that demands that we assist it. I know this may seem either strange, or obvious.
This demand can be answered in many ways. For example, the demand to know, and to share that knowledge, may be met by being a teacher, a mother or father, a rabbi, or a plumber with apprentices. The need to deliver compassion may be met by being a doctor, a social worker, a priest, a nurse, or many other ways… The need to make money, be powerful, and get laid, may be met by making money, gaining power, and getting laid. For it is the need that we answer that sorts us out, and bins us for the Beyond. God wishing no loose ends, and finding no loose ends.
